Letter signed by Santa Ana , written from in camp at San Jacinto on April 22, 1836, to Filisola.; ordering Mexican troops to leave Texas. Look under the pre-printed "Ejercito de operaciones" (sort of the head of operations) it says "triplicaro." That means simply that three copies of this letter were made. There is one at the Sinks Papers, and one other in private hands. It was common to make multiple copies of letters like this - either for records or for distribution |
