Set of letters found in the Coveney House of Quintana, Texas, by Ms. Biggs in 1936. The Coveney House was built at the turn of the 20th Century by the Seaburn family for the Coveney family . The house has been moved and is preserved at Quintana County Park. Transcription: Velasco Dec. 18th 1894 My dear Daisy I got your postal yesterday am so glad to hear you are coming home Saturday some of us will meet you at Velasco. I wrote you about Mrs. Brown's being at Houston and gave you her address, 803 Cor. Rusk and Main. I hope you will not have to get off the train before daylight at Houston as it will be right cool. Be sure to dress warm enough and have your jacket with you I have not time to write any more grief this will be my last letter to you as another would not have time to reach you.
